This is the Democrats chance..

.... Bush has thrown down the gauntlet, he's drawn a line in the sand, he's said put up or shut up.

Well, this is it. It is time for the Democrats to navigate the gauntlet, cross the line in the sand and to put up their dukes.

It is also time for Dems to GET ON TV and ask, "what is the president hiding here?" "why is he afraid to have his staff testify under oath, he insists these firings were proper".

Yes, if this gets to the SCOTUS we might not win. But the bottom line is simple, right is on our side here.

that shrub and cheney would not testify under oath either (9/11 commission)
these people want to avoid perjury charges when they are found to be the liars they are

We might as well plan on giving up the White House and Congress because fairly or unfairly, how the Democrats handle these issues will directly impact the elections.
They are already allowing the Republicans to start blaming them for the Iraq War.

4. Bush just set a trap for the fishermen.

Yesterday's document dump was clearly intended to set up today's "fishing expedition" speech. The Crime Family didn't put that stuff out without first putting a plan in place.

So, it's probably best to assume that the documents are stocked with what appear to big great big fish (like seemingly significant deletions/white-outs).

So, if the Dems plan on putting the top criminals under oath, they best not ask about seemingly significant items of no known significance. They need to start with the stuff which has already come out.
