Anyone else watching Maddow tonight? She looks like CRAP! Why?

She looks like she has either been bawling her eyes out, or is having an allergic reaction with puffy eyes and huge black saddle bags under her eyes. It looks like she can barely keep her eyes open.

Geeze, did something traumatic happen? Or is she sick?

She may be a bit under the weather.

Here's my hypothesis: "Warmed over" refers to the preparation of leftover food to serve again. Leftovers are less desirable than food just now cooked, and the warming process can damage them further. They get overcooked, dry, limp where you want crispy, stiff where you want soft, charred around the edges. Sauces separate. Flavor vanishes. So "warmed over" is an intensifier: Not only did he look awful, he didn't even look fresh. (Not necessarily an insult; for instance, may be said sympathetically of someone who's ill or exhausted.)

that she looked kind of bad then they changed camera angles and she looked good.

On her nightly show she sounded hoarse. I've had a bad cold this week too, so I know it's the season.

Her eyes look like she should be home in bed with some hot chicken soup.

Not only does she look bad, she doesn't look like herself.

She looks puffy and the dark circles under her eyes make her look completely different.

I've seen her look terrible on-air before, and you could tell she was sick.

I think she is very tenacious and continues with her work, despite feeling really terrible.

She's just incredibly committed, even when she feels like crap.

I applaud Rachel and her dark circles!

You could say "she doesn't look herself" or "is she feeling well?"

But the nasty quip "she looks like crap" is quite harsh considering she is ONE of TWO liberal voices on the Corporate M$M.

Sure you can say almost any dig against public figures - but I can also take offense because Rachel is "one of us" (Liberal Democrats).

sick and tired, but Christ on a cracker, you guys, Chris Dodd looks like he is about to explode with a massive stroke. I feel like I am coming out of an 8-yr insanity episode, just woke from a coma and it is a bizarre hellscape out here. Dip*stick (chimperor) looks like he has been in an all night stick fight with a youth gang. If they give bailout money to the banks, and they just spend it buying other banks, and going on weekend trips, that will be criticised, but dang all that money that Wall street has is everybody's retirement savings. Young people can sleep on the ground and have strength to start over, but old people do not have the means to start over, and they feel so helpless. I am sure young people feel just as helpless and lost...hell, I don't know what I am getting at, it just seems so hopeless... Then there is you...(kiss, hug)...
