I was always laid off then when Reagan was president. Raising two little kids. Those were bad times.

1. Actually, it's 1.2 million jobs IN THE PAST 3 MONTHS.
More than 1.9 million going back to January 2008.

2. 40 Million job displacements before this is over. Hold onto
your nerves as the ride gets bumpy. (This was predicted in 2006) in
a hearing before Ssenate.

5. My husband was laid off during that time, too.
He was out of work for a year and we had two kids in college. An extremely rough time. So much for "trickle down economics." My heart goes out to all of those who have lost jobs during this recession because I know what they are going through. It's such a scary time and we have no idea what is ahead for our country. Our so called "president" doesn't seem to care and is busy making his "Save my legacy tour." Why doesn't he just step down and let Obama take over? bush's shoe size is larger than his IQ and he has no concept how much people are hurting. He is such a narcissist.

9. Reagan and his policies
destroyed my hometown in the early '80s- long before it became fashionable.

Some kid at my work last nite talking about how this recession thing was all brand-spanking new. I had to reply, "It's been going on for thirty years (unspoken: sonny), you can thank Reaganonmics" He of course looked at me all sideways because everybody knows Reagan was a fucking saint.
