We could ask for a forum for proponents to communicate in.

2. Think FDIC It's single payer account insurance for private banks. It's good enough for them, but not
for us.

Same as it ever was

3. Okay, I think I see what you're advocating.
You want to know if anyone else would be interested in starting a new forum to discuss Single-Payer solutions for healthcare, etc.

Is that correct?

6. Have you heard of Archimedes Movement?
Kitzhaber has done a lot of the footwork in laying out the path to reform. He doesn't prescribe any specific solution, rather he has all that particulars that have to be a part of the new health care system.

7. Thanks for the link. Back in July of 1990 I started canvassing for Orgon Fair Share

on heath care reform.

My second day on the job i canvassed Kitzhaber at his home in Roseberg. I didn't know it was his house, it was small, older and unassuming. There was a "Heyduke Lives" bumper sticker on the car in the drive way. I spent about a half hour talking to him and learned a lot. I wish I could chat with him now. After three years of canvassing on health care in 7 states and immersing my self in the issue for the last 18 years I would have some better questions now.

Here in MT the unions and a number of civic minded service groups, issue oriented non-profits, churches and other groups are working on outcome based criteria for a plan.

They call them the tree principles and they advocate looking at any HC plan and analyzing it based on

1; health Care must be affordable to everyone.
2. must be accessible to everyone
3. must give people full and free choice of care provider.

10. No. I've never done it so
I would probably give you some bad advice. However, most post the rough draft first, like in this thread, so everyone can add their two cents before submitting it to the administrators.
