2. They've showed him on CNN at least
3 times in the past hour. Also the demonstration is growing, strangers and other union workers are joining. Rev. Jackson has brought them bags of food for their families. He was on CNN as well! I am stunned!

5. Can the state pull their charter?
I assume B of A is a federally chartered bank, but does a state have any control over their ability to operate in that state.

Probably not or they would have used that tactic too.

7. Illinois Governor.
Chicago is just a city and doesn't have a Governor.

14. In reality, Blago finished third in Chicago in the Democratic Primary
when he first ran for Governor, so no, Chicago doesn't decide statewide elections or even the Democratic primary.

19. This is an invaluable opportunity, one I'm sure he must recognize,
if he shows up and stand with the workers he will cement his status as "savior of the people".

OTOH, if he doesn't, well let's just say that ain't good...

Will he make a stand or equivocate and defer to TPB?

17. is this company sound?
are they losing business? are they deep in debt? if B of A does not think the company is viable or would default on their loan, why should they be FORCED to lend?? IF the company is sound why cant they just go to another bank?? first we bailed out the banks then the Auto makers now we want to FORCE banks to make bad loans to struggling small businesses! will this NEVER stop? will we need to nationalize everything?? do you know what that is called.. is that what we REALLY want????

16. That is excellent news...
...and it sure makes it hard for the news media to ignore this story!

Wow. Been awhile since we've seen a real workers' revolt. This seems to be the only damned way to get the attention of our legislators, too: they're so far in the pockets of the fat cats they can't even see their way out without someone reaching in and grabbing them by the throat.
