10. It's about time we Democrats produced an astonishingly corrupt
politician. I'd been getting terribly tired of our goody two shoes image in this country as muzzy headed sheep who wanted to do the right thing and were always easy to fleece.

Oh, I know y'all are thinking about Jefferson, but he really settled for chump change in the grand scheme of corrupt pols, a drop in the bucket of cash that was being passed around in that African bribery scheme, just enough boodle to keep his prissy mouth shut about what Cheney was up to.

Blagojevich, on the other hand, is going to give corrupt GOPs pause, let them know that they're not the only ones at the trough and that we're not the sweet little Sunday school pussycats they think we all are.

Let's hope they do the trial in grand GOP witch hunt fashion. The more publicity this gets, the better, and Blagojevich's coloring is such that orange will be very flattering on him. This is one of those times when there is no such thing as bad publicity.

This is serving notice on them that some of us have teeth, too.

(tongue firmly in cheek)

11. Same Justice department that put Don Seigelman away?
Why are federal prosecutors and their "leaks" routinely accepted as true?

I always assume they're lying and scheming, until the facts sufficiently refute that notion.

22. There's no reason to believe that, based upon a Bush appointee's actions.
I'm always amazed at the number of people here who blindly believe every press release or leak that has "prosecutor" attached to it.

23. You mean the same fraud that sat on the biggest case in decades?
Thanks, but no thanks. Patrick Fitzgerald was the best friend Bush ever had.

His handling of that matter was absolutely incompetent.

18. What's even more unbelievable is how people, especially Democrats
are so willing to accept what U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald says, like it was the word of GOD! Hope we don't get you on a fucking jury next time one of us gets indicted on some bullshit charge.

25. The taped conversations will need a lot of explaining by Blago. But
there are just as many here who think he's been set up because he spoke against Bank of America.
