He may be crooked as a snake - but I find this VERY suspicious. Particularly since the bu$hit cabal has the market historically cornered on snakey crookedness.

1. A Message To Anyone Who Dares Challenge
I think you may have hit the nail on the head.

His arrest is little more than a message to anyone thinking of challenging our financial overlords.

And, of course, Bush/Cheney is totally in bed *ith our overlords.

This *hole thing just stinks.

Note: In protest of the continuing occupation of OUR *hite House by the illegal and totally corrupt Bush/Cheney regime of thugs and cronies, I REFUSE to use the letter bet*een "V" and "X".

25. It Isn't Really Needed
*hat a *onderful Idea.

*e really do not need the letter bet*een "V" and "X.

*e could, instead simple use two "U's".

For instance, instead of *riting, "*hat a *onderful Idea!", *e could all *rite this:

"Uuhat a Uuonderful Idea!"

Note: In protest of the continuing occupation of OUR Uuhite House by the illegal and totally corrupt Bush/Cheney regime of thugs and cronies, I have abolished the letter betuueen "V" and "X", and intead I am using "uu".

10. One law for Dems, no law for Reeps.
Here's the other problem.

While Blagojevich IS corrupt scum, he's no
worse and not nearly as bad as many Reeps
who have skated free from their crimes and
treasons, including Bush and Cheney and
various cronies.

Spitzer and Blagojevich are targeted and
go down. Fine. The law is the law.

But I hate the double standard in applying
the law against Dems when they do inconvenient
and pesky things like speak out for workers
or target financial corruption like Spitzer
was doing.

2. Yeah, I thought the timing was VERY suspicious myself.
Here's the problem, though.

Blagojevice is SO corrupt.. that's probably
why some people Obama wanted for that Senate
seat ended up elsewhere.

Nobody good will want the seat now. They'll
just have to appoint a placeholder, and then
good candidates will run separately in 2010.

and was told to take off my tinfoil hat.
After 8 years of underhandedness by the cabal, I find this timing strange despite the crookedness of the alleged criminal. Perhaps I'm naive...
Edit:
I just talked to a friend and he thinks it's all an "image" thing, similar to what the Repub governor did before he was brought down. Who knows...

6. He never in his life stood up for workers. EVER
But the rumors started spreading last week that he is on tape, and Blago grabs a microphone and pretends he is a populist all of a sudden.

Yes, be suspicious. But be suspicious of Blago's motives. He wanted the public to stand beside him hoping that the Feds wouldn't arrest him with all this good publicity going around.

24. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the M.O. -
not one bit.

It seems also the IL gov was possibly playing "sudden populist" (ie: BoA) in order to try to save his bacon for his malfeasance as gov in replacing Obama - at least according to those here who know his record (I didn't prior to posting this - and I appreciate the insight of IL residents and those in the know about that).

Likely lots of sidewinding crookery on both sides. Pfft!

13. You are confusing cause and effect.
Blagojevich made his little BoA announcement as a stunt to curry public favor before he was indicted.

If you think the feds can assemble a 78 page Criminal Complaint that relies upon years of investigation on 24 hours notice, you are mistaken.

A state Governor knows that he is about to be indicted, and at the same time, a real but completely unrelated crisis is going on in his state. This might be a good time to come out as a real man-of-the-people.

32. I don't either.....
..it's why I have a few on ignore. The knee-jerk insults flung at anyone they disagree with - or anyone who might be ignorant of all the facts (such as the IL gov's record).

Ignorance is not dishonesty and it doesn't make one a "sucker". If someone doesn't know something TELL them - sans the self-righteous insults and self-superior chest-beating.

Jeeeze.

I don't mind someone saying "I disagree because..." or "Well, he is a crooked SOB with a bad record trying to save himself...." or whatever to provide additional info or another point of view (and there were several nice responses like that in this thread which I appreciated) - but the instant slams and INSULTS are juvenile and unnecessary.
