from the undisclosed location wherein she has been engaging in a monumental post-election poutfest. In an emailed letter to the editors of the Greeley Tribune (www.greeleytrib.com) she finally got around to thanking her staff and those who voted for her. She also credits her refusal to compromise her principles as the reason for her recent defeat for re-election. (Musgrave gained national attention for her "protection of marriage" issue which helped to breathe new life into the more virulent anti-gay types. Her seat in Congress will now be filled by Betsy Markey.) And Musgrave's campaign manager was marketing her as Colorado's very own Sarah Palin. Anyway, you can go to the paper's website and read the thing. But I just had to share one of the comments posted to the article. I think we all owe you a great big heartfelt thank you for your stance on the Wall street bailout, and even with the threats of martial law listened to your constituency. I doubt your predecessor will do the same , and that is why you are praying for her. While I didn't agree with everything Marilyn voted for, and I doubt anyone agrees with everything, they will be some very big shoes to fill. Well only time will tell us how many liberties we will lose now. Those of us who follow politics will be watching every vote, and I think we all need to pray NOW. Who said they couldn't Californicate Colorado, it is a done deal now. Goodbye Marilyn and the liberties we have left. 12/10/2008 6:23 PM MST on greeleytribune.com
