2. since congress had the power to fix this mess, it seems
to me they can now increase her salary to be on par with Rice at least. Maybe I am missing something--but seems to be very degrading to put her salary below Condi's!! Damm, that sucks.

9. Hillary is getting a pay increase, not a cut.
She will be making less than Condi did for the same job but she will be making more by twenty thousand a year from her Senate Salary.

7. It does have to do with that silly little constitustional thing
Article 1 section 6 clause 2
No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States, which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time; and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office.

Therefore they had to make a Saxby fix to bypass the rule.
