Uh, gee...I guess something just hit me about the auto bailout.
6 months ago, I bought a beautiful used 2003 Chevy Blazer with only 8,000 MILES (!!!!) on it for $11k.

I also bought a 3 year GMAC bumper to bumper warranty.

Seems to me like a warranty is a promise of sorts that cannot be fulfilled if GM goes bankrupt.

That would mean that I am just another in a long line of "creditors" who will not receive any re-compensation?

2. You need to read thru that bumper-to-bumper warranty.
You may be shocked to learn what it doesn't cover.

4. Oh I have....
But for $1,000, it bought me piece of mind for any potential drive train issues (at least) on a 5 year old vehicle.

they should be forced into bankruptcy(of course UAW raped in the process) and have the government bailout the creditors and take responsibilities for the Warranties. Wouldn't that be far more costly than the loan they are asking for? They aren't asking for a bailout in the first place they are asking for a loan. They did it for Chrysler and they got every penny back with interest. They gave my steel company a loan guaranteed by the Byrd Bill and we paid it back early with interest. The financial industry won't pay back a thin dime, it's just welfare for them. God I hate Republicans.
