16. Exactly. That is in no way the "Hook'em, Horns" sign. Even his expression belies that.

6. "Evangelical Christians were conned into thinking that Bush was 'one of them,'"
the Moral Collapse blogger concluded. "the reality is that he isn't one of them and he never was."

He's more "one of them" than they care to admit. Hypocritical two faced ignorant judgmental assholes.

What idiots. Sorry for the ad hominem insult, but it's just true. Anyone who believed that George Bush was a fundamentalist Christian was downright stupid.

So if you want to read a second book, read Kuo's.

... to con. They don't need evidence, just "faith", and are adept at dismissing any facts contrary to their beliefs as "the work of the devil".

30. Pshaw!
Like fundies have ever read the Bible. Most of them buy the best looking ones they can find, and never crease the spine, if you know what I mean. True believers read their copies.

14. i always laugh at the "everybody prays to the same god" stupidity..
all the prophets of all the religions show symptoms of Schizophrenia, all people today who hear god tell them to kill their children are beyond doubt schizophrenic. the story of Abraham..Dah

and if Mohamed had not been the son of a rich man who gave people food in a long terrible famine to listen to his son, he would surely have been just another homeless person wandering the streets talking to the sky.. he was related to Abraham an Schizophrenia runs in bloodlines.

22. He had the Candian fundies duped to.
In the runup to Iraq, on Canadian cable TV the evangelist David Mainse and his fundy televangelist program "100 Huntley Street" were shilling all out for Bush and the Iraq war, mouthing the White House/neocon propaganda word for word. I used to watch from time to time just like some people on DU like to check out the screwball freepers and their comments at Free Republic. I remember one time on 100 Huntley Street they showed a video clip of a young Canadian boy meeting Saint George in the White House Oval Office for a propaganda photo op after the kid wrote the boy George a glowing fan letter, praising his Christian virtue and steadfastness and expressing how thankful all his fundy family and friends were that finally there was such a saintly, devout, Bible believing Christian president doing God's work in the White House.

David Mainse got played for a damned fool just like all the rest of them. Gullibility doesn't begin to describe it.

25. LOL.
Total coincidence that Bush drops this fact a month before he leaves office and the evangelicals have already voted for him twice.

I liked this part

"Some evangelicals, however, claim they were not surprised by Bush's remarks. A blog titled "The Moral Collapse Of America" pointed out after the interview that "George W. Bush's religious beliefs are not compatible with evangelical Christianity," because "Bush has openly said many times that Christians, Muslims and all other religions pray to the same God."

27. Isn't it a little late for Bush to show intelligence and intellectual ability?
I guess he's a little more worried about his legacy than he claims. The fact that the fundies are shocked shows how clueless they truly are.

33. Wow you mean the Bush Cheney Cabal LIED
about being evangelicals so they could use their voting power?

Do you mean they lied about being pro troops but really didn't care?

Do you mean they lied about being fiscally conservative when they destroyed regulations that led to the failure of the US economy?

Do you mean they lied about supporting individual freedoms as they signed the most aggregious spying procedures on the American people?

Wow.
