6. Just because Pelosi wants it doesn't necessarily make it wrong.
Although the fact that Ben Stein is in favor of a bail-out for The Big 3 makes me less sure of my position in favor of it.

11. I don't think she is wrong. I think its a positive that Bush is forced to
use the TARP which is what the Democratic Leadership wanted anyway

5. I didn't get the exact quote.
The upshot seemed to be that they would be willing to support the auto companies in the short term until Congress gets around to passing new legislation.

9. Bush is not going to let his legacy --failure of MFG Base.
Reid , Baucus, Lincoln and Tester--that egg is permanently
affixed to your face.

The GOP rescues Auto Mfg. Democrats let it fail. Don"t you
love that headline.

Can we get some Democrats who can play ball as well as GOP>>

17. Why not add the whole list of Republican nos? Reid's no was procedural - so he could re-open it
if there were a chance of passing - which would have needed 8 more votes - so 3 no votes would have to turn (Reid was FOR it)

19. It was reported last night on Fox. Bush will not let Big 3 Failure
be his legacy. Krautheimer spelled it out explicitly.

21. I had a feeling that would be the case
As much as I dislike Bush, I can't imagine any American president would want the failure of General Motors to happen on his watch, especially not in his last month in office. But I'm holding my breath until it actually happens.

that it is Shrub's 20 percenters that are against the deal I'm talking about.
