So if a racist minister delivered the inagural invocation
but the new President appointed African Americans to his cabinet, everything would be fine with some folks here, wouldn't it?

1. If Obama appointed a racist to his secretary of state...
do her supporters have much business complaining about some guy at the inauguration?

12. No more than the inauguration make him a Warren supporter.
Does your vote for Obama make you a Warren supporter?

13. I voted for Obama - that made me an Obama supporter.
Obama's a Warren supporter. I'm not.

14. Why the double standard...
when it comes to guilt by association?

16. No double standard. I think one is responsible for one's own choices - but not
every extension from there.

I'm responsible for supporting Obama, but not for everything he does that I couldn't anticipate.

He's responsible for supporting Warren.

4. It would seem so. What I do not understand is why more DUers aren't against Warren
because of his anti-woman/anti-choice stances.

GLBT (and athiest) Americans continue to be second-class citizens in the US, and here. But females, along with black Americans, are deemed "valued" minorities, worthy of defending. So where is the feminist outrage?

15. I am against Warren for all of them
but the homophobia on here is so rampant, it shocked me. I had no idea there were so many people on DU who think that GLBT people arent deserving of civil rights.

17. I agree, and thats the point.
if a racist minister gave the invocation:=outrage
if an antisemitic minister gave the invocation:=outrage
if a homophobic misogynist gives the invocation:=aww lets give the guy a chance.
total bullshit.
I can see clearly what kind of bigotry is acceptable on here.
