Now that we won't have Bush/Cheny to kick around
It looks like now we can turn our hate and venom on each other and Obama. I have frankly been astounded and disgusted by the reactions here to Obama's cabinet appointments and now the Rick Warren invitation.

With all the huge and substantive problems facing us, it is nice to see that DUers can sink to the occasion.

2. I plan to kick Bush/Cheney around until they're in prison.
The new Justice Department will agree.

3. How about on the fact that once again we have Repugs in our administration?
Are we allowed to turn our hatred on that, or we're not allowed?

4. Yeah, I'm disappointed myself.

I'm disappointed in Obama for his choice of Warren, but it's not the end of the world, and it doesn't make Obama not a Democrat, or not an advocate for GLBT rights or a closeted fundie.

I'm also disappointed in all the hyperbole I'm reading here on DU.

He miscalculated - he hit way too far to the right in his efforts to find a preacher that could be considered all-inclusive.

Don't tell me that Obama's all of the sudden EEEEEEEEEEEVIL! He made a mistake. Hopefully, he'll reverse that mistake and tell Rick Warren to take a hike, but it's not the end of humanity if he doesn't.

5. I don't give a shit..
about Obama's cabinet picks, but it was a huge mistake for Obama to choose what's his name to do whatever he's doing at the inauguration. I hope he can do something to make it right in some way. "We the people" should all be part of the celebration. It's too bad that this shit came on the heels of all the previous shit. Because it is really not the same thing at all. There are plenty of people here who really don't like Obama, and their 'outrage' is so toxic that it distorts everything else.
