Am I the only one secretly hoping NY picks Michael Moore as their next senator?
The thought of Moore charging into the Senate with Al Franken vowing to kick butt and take names warms the cockles of my heart!

I wonder if the governor of New York has considered him?

I adore MM, but somehow I don't see Paterson or any other risk-averse pol considering him....

4. another carpetbagger?
Michael Moore would make a great Michigan senator. However NY's already had enough senators that are not from NY.

13. Thanks for at least entertaining the notion
When I try and think of people who would actually do a good job representing workers in the Senate, I think of someone like Moore.

16. at least I think outside the box!
Michael Moore would get us universal healthcare, protect workers' jobs, and make fun of Republicans all at the same time. What's not to like about that?

14. The thought never crossed my mind but it's a great image
The two of them "charging into the Senate" is a hoot.

17. Actually, I'd prefer Elizabeth Holtzman
She should have been elected 28 years ago but was rooked out of victory by Jacob Javits' independent run.

19. Yes, you are
Why is it so difficult for so many DUers to understand that the majority of New Yorkers would like someone born and raised for our senator?! One carpetbagger a decade is enough!

21. He might make a terrible senator...
...and still be better than most of the waste-of-oxygen types in Congress. If he could somehow be appointed, he'd probably never win reelection.

But he could do some good along the way, and perhaps inspire a real politician to take his place.

who are off the deep end to the point of bizarre beliefs andf behaviors.
