It is pleasing to watch the openness of the Minnesota recount
The Minneapolis Star Tribune has a live feed from their website to the recount. The panel is examining each ballot in order and voting on how it should be counted. There are observers in the room. It is very fast, very orderly, and in the open for all to see. Each ballot in question is shown on screen to everyone in the room and on line, every voted recorded.

The Canvassing Board, the Star Tribune, and the people of Minnesota are to be congratulated.

1. Isn't it great?
Smoothly running government on public display.

No hanging, dimpled, preggers, or other chads.

All challanged ballots they have scanned into a computer so that everybody there can see each ballot in question on a couple of big hi-def TV screens AND on the Strib's video stream.

No drama.

It's kind of hypnotic to watch, too.

:-)

3. This is one of the things that makes me proud to live here
Transparent elections using paper ballots -- the only way to go.
