Since GM has halted construction on the plant to build the Volt, how about something more tangible.

Would be nice if it were really powered by a fusion reaction though. :)

1. the volt plant is not halted
The plant that is to build the 1.4L engine for the Cruze and Volt is delayed, the engines will be sourced from an Austrian plant in the meantime. The Volt and Cruze are still on schedule.

Regardless, the Fusion Hybrid seems to be a nice addition.

2. The Volt is definitely not vaporware.

The engine sourcing has changed.

The Fusion is the one to beat, though. Several thousand dollars cheaper and it seats five. The Volt is far more advanced, though.

3. Better hybrids out there
And non-hybrid cars with better gas mileage.

4. At present you dont buy hybrids to save money...
however if you are in the market to buy an American branded hybrid this seems like a good choice.

5. I'm just saying, there are better cars out there with better gas mileage
And, I'd never own a Ford, considering what a piece of shit my Mercury was.
