Speed Camera "Pimping" Game

I distinctly remember a conversation I had with a couple of friends a while back saying that it would only be a matter of time before kids or criminals found a way to use the latest rage of red light ticketing to their advantage...

As a prank, students from local high schools have been taking advantage of the county's Speed Camera Program in order to exact revenge on people who they believe have wronged them in the past, including other students and even teachers.

Students from Richard Montgomery High School dubbed the prank the Speed Camera "Pimping" game, according to a parent of a student enrolled at one of the high schools.

Originating from Wootton High School, the parent said, students duplicate the license plates by printing plate numbers on glossy photo paper, using fonts from certain websites that "mimic" those on Maryland license plates. They tape the duplicate plate over the existing plate on the back of their car and purposefully speed through a speed camera, the parent said. The victim then receives a citation in the mail days later.

Students are even obtaining vehicles from their friends that are similar or identical to the make and model of the car owned by the targeted victim, according to the parent.

I also read where criminals in London were doing basically the same thing.

I'll say it again, while I despise people that blatantly run red lights and place the safety of others in jeopardy, "automated" law enforcement is just a bad idea since there is no way to verify "who" was driving the car much less if the photo is an accurate representation (right plates, right car, etc).

3. my neighbor got a ticket from a red-light camera, for making a legal turn on a red light...

i told him to fight it(he didn't think you could)- and it saved him $75.

6. Little assholes

Possible wrecks, maybe kill someone, costing the courts time and money and ruining some peoples driving records and costing them thousands in insurance costs .... someone needs to paddle their asses for them ... maybe parents too.

7. I run them all the time...........

After I stop to make sure no one is coming through. Many of the trafficlights in my neighborhood are poorly timed: They may be red in my direction for 2.5 minutes, however no cars come through when the light is green in the other direction.

I've just taped "Fuck You" signs onto license plates for this purpose. This is a good way to fuck your enemies over.

just happen to be in the area and pull one of these pinheads with 'fake plates' over.

Never mind the speeding offense... I'm guessing that in most states forging/falsifying plates is a criminal offense.

Also take into consideration that in most states, teenage drivers are subject to much stricter rules and penalties for violations.

Better get those leg muscles in shape for the next 3-4 years.... brainiacs.
