Ex-FEMA chief Allbaugh loses Austin-area home to Christmas Eve fire
Edited on Sat Dec-27-08 01:43 PM by rainbow4321
Maybe he can call his cronies and get an infested FEMA trailer to use. Karma does catch up to people..maybe not right away, but at some point in their lives it will broadside them.

http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/local/12/27/1227allbaugh.html

Allbaugh, who helped manage George W. Bush's 2000 presidential campaign, was living in a rented house on Escala Drive in the Barton Creek community that burned down late Wednesday.

Allbaugh managed Bush's 1994 campaign for Texas governor and was later named Bush's chief of staff. Allbaugh left FEMA in 2003, went on to start the Allbaugh Co. , a lobbying and consulting firm, and served as an adviser to former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani during his presidential campaign.

Allbaugh and his family moved into the rental home because the house they own up the block is undergoing repairs for mold. He has insurance on both homes, he said.

The family is currently staying in a hotel and spent Friday buying new clothes and seeing what could be salvaged from the home.

1. I can't work up any sympathy for him--how many people are completely homeless thanks to that
lying, thieving bastard he helped sneak into office? how many people cannot afford hotels and shopping to replace items lost in a fire?

3. I remember him as the one who blamed the victims of the Mississipi floods...
...in Illinois, Iowa, etc. during his time at FEMA. He questioned whether the federal government should have to give help to people who insist on living in areas where catastrophes occur. His statement of course begs the question exactly where one may live where catastrophes never occur. As this recent news about Allbaugh suggests, he himself did a pretty poor job of choosing homes that were disaster-proof.

5. ewww, he wasn't living in the home he owned because it had
MOLD -- guess some folks are getting a taste of their own medicine - now maybe the insurance company will refuse to pay his claims, some hidden clause denying coverage during the "war on christmas" time period.
