How is it "meeting in the middle" when only one side has to give
something up?

Isn't that just "caving in?"

Same thing with "reaching across the aisle?"

Will their mitt be reaching out, too, or will ours just keep going further and further until we fall out of our seats?

1. Can you be more specific?
What are the "sides", which one is "giving", and which one isn't?

3. Good question. Depending upon the number of people you're with and whether there is
a plan B, C, D . . ., and WHAT those alternatives constitute, at some point (???) you have to turn around and walk away and accept the consequences for doing so.

5. Yes, it's caving in
Our leaders are good at that- you may even draw the conclusion that they agree with the other people, considering how easily and often they do it.

11. The history of the Democratic Party for the last 35 years.
I like the way Edwards put it:

"If you invite them to the table, they will eat ALL the food."
(He said it specifically about the Health Insurance Industries, but I think it applies globally to Conservatives/Republicans.

I don't want them in our tent.
"Centrism" has only diluted the message of the Democratic Party to the point where millions can say "There is no real difference".

The Democratic Party is a BIG TENT, but there is NO ROOM for those
who advance the agenda of THE RICH (Corporate Owners) at the EXPENSE of LABOR and the POOR.

14. The democratic definition.
Compromise; Doing what they say.

Reaching across the isle; Giving them what they want.

Bi-partisan; implementing the Republik plan.

Leadership; Acting like a Republik.
