what are your New Year's Eve plans?
Hubby surprised me with a night at the Hyatt and their big NYE bash complete with buffet and Champagne toast at Midnight

2 different bands playing a plethera of music

Check in is 3pm the 31st and check out is 2 pm the 1st

I even think there is a fireworks display at midnight

should be really fun and romantic

16. You're not homeless, are you?
(oh, of course not....you've got an internet connection!) :P

Very cool that you live so close. You can just walk out at 11:45 pm or so and enjoy the festivities w/o lingering in the cold or hassle of commuting.

Happy New Year to you! :hi:

6. Hubby is working, and after he gets home we are staying home
after ten years of EMS, and working that night... I like to stay home. Much safer.

:-)

Have fun, and it is great that you are taking a room and staying overnight. That is the safest thing to do

10. What fun! I hope you have a great time! We are spending a quiet
evening at home, Hubby and youngest daughter Sarahbellum and one of her best friends. Food, wine, movies, streamers and confetti and hats and crackers and those little champagne-popper-thingies that explode when you pull the string :-) I love those things.

18. My friend's mom delivered the New Year's baby of Kansas..1967
TRIPLETS.. not induced or c-section either..The first one was born at 12:01AM.

He was mortified though.. It was embarrassing enough to have your Mom pregnant when you are a senior in high school, but then to have it plastered on the front page of both papers..and for it to be identical triplets.. he took it pretty hard :)

No ultrasound then, and the Dr thought she was having twins:)..until #3 popped out :)

As for me, I'll probably be wishing my friends here on DU a happy new year.

We will have hats: :dunce:

We will have 'favors':

We will have drinking:

We will have toasts: :toast:

What MORE could a girl/guy ask for? :eyes:

Peace,

23. Usual house party.
I traditionally have the party at my house. Lots of food, music and of course lots of drinking and extracurricular activities. Usually a lot of hectic last minute preparations for the Mummers' parade. Always a fun night.

26. Going shooting
We have a 50 BMG shoot every New Years Eve. Every one that owns a 50 bring it and those who wants to shoot one come out. You should see the muzzle flash at midnight.

The surounding neighbors don't like it though.
