Funny how Sarah names "her" child Trig........
....and then the daughter names this one "Tripp".

Usually you try to give brothers and sisters similar names.....not uncles and nephews.

5. At the risk of inciting the wrath of those who think it is "un-PC" to
even talk about Palin's children and grandchild, the fact is that the entire family is very bizarre. I could care less who is sleeping with whom, who is the mother (or the father) of any of the children, nor whether the children have their shotgun marriage as promised. I do find the RW and fundie right's embrace of the whole situation equally bizarre, but as we all know, the "right wing" does not have a word or understanding of the concept of hypocrisy.

Tripp is a hockey stick; Easton and Mitchell make other hockey stuff.

Given some of the halfassed names I've seen on both sides of the aisle, I think she's probably just going with the flow and trying to make that boyfriend happy. Dumb names aren't the province of the GOP, exclusively. She's certainly no Rhodes scholar, and when you meet a poor kid named Ant-wan whose name is pronounced "Antoine," you realize his mother wasn't, either.

I hope the poor girl finds peace and privacy. She didn't ask for this attention and scorn. Her mother may have, but she's not her mother.

15. Sorry, it's not a matter of being "above it all"
it's a matter of 1) not finding Palin of particular interest, and 2) disliking the attacks on kids- and that includes Palin's.

26. Names are funny...I remember a couple of kids in my high school
back in the 1960s. Odd family that lived on the edge of town and filled their yard with scrap metal and other junk. They had two sons...one named Truck and the other named Toad. Those were their legal names.

The boys were fighters and delinquents, almost from the time they could walk. Neither made it through High School. What happened to them after that, I do not know, since I left my home town as fast as I could after graduating.

There was another pair of boys in my school, nicknamed Flea and Tick, but those weren't their legal names.
