1. At this point, I think a tent or renting an RV might be more realistic...
Find a campsite to stay at in Maryland or Virginia, take a bike to the nearest Metrolink to DC and there ya go.
But if you have a hotel room reservation for that week that you don't need, I'm sure many people would be eager to take you up on it right now.

3. There are still hotel rooms
A few are even reasonable. The problem is that most of them are requiring a 3 or 5 night minimum. If it were me, I'd go to Wilmington. They've still got rooms there from $100.

5. I Get a Travel Newsletter

on edit - apologies. While several of the listings claimed to have their sale in place through the 24th, that was incorrect.

6. I try not to mislead people
just to get traffic. Most travel sites don't give a shit. I would probably not be broke if I followed their lead.

4. Ouch! Good Luck
You don't need a ticket to be on the parade route, though? People's business and all that ...

7. No tickets - I'm still trying to find any Americans who will
be, or are, in Dublin, Ireland on 20 January! I would love to watch the inauguration with fellow citizens. So far, no luck :( but that will not stop me from celebrating!:toast:
