Have you ever watched the documentary called "The World According to Monsanto" ?
IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1189345/

It was made by France,Canada and Germany and I doubt that

it was shown on American TV or that it's a big hit in the

DVD rental spots.I've been disgusted by this company for at least 10

years and the more I learn about them the more I hate that big

sociopathic mindless corporation.

If you saw that great documentary or have something to

say about those scumbags please feel free to reply to this post.

Now I'm going back to watch the rest of the documentary.

1. bitter living thry chemistry.
I still have some docs from 20 years ago, from some toxic tort litigation, that was the logo on each "SECRET" document. They actually determined how many people would get sick and die, vs. their profits.

6. Yes !
They talk about that in the Documentary! Those bastards knew from the start how toxic their stuff

was.

You say that you have docs from 20 years ago so I'm guessing that you've been watching

those poisoners for some time?

11. I used to defend their sorry asses. Was pretty good at it, too.
won a lot more cases than I lost. Then, I looked in the mirror, and realized that being a lawyer meant serving. We are the social lubricant. We make society work. And with that ability comes responsibility, and duty. I now represent the hurt, the down-trodden, those that need help. I routinely cut fees, and often give people a pass. I much prefer life now compared to then. Of course, the income stream is much more iffy. but the rewards are so much better.

22. the decision was swift, but the run up was a long time in coming.
When a large US Iraq reconstruction contractor's VP called me up (they had killed 2, paralyzed one, and seriously damaged a bunch of others) and asked, no, ORDERED me to bribe a judge, I refused and told my largest billable client I don't and won't do that. That was the final straw.

I was fired a bit later, just as I was finishing my motion to withdraw from all their cases, and to return the cases to them.

2. If it was mindless, it wouldn't be difficult
I think the worst thing we can do is to picture Monsanto as some other. Monsanto is us, just on a global scale. Monsanto does what humans have been doing for a long time, just on a microscopic scale. Once we open the DNA box, how is Monsanto(or whatever even larger organized effort that may come after it) not the inevitable result? Monsanto didn't just come out of nowhere. Even Wal-Mart started out as a small business.

5. funny you should ask- i just bought a copy online and
watched it with my family. It's a bit dry but it has a lot of info. I plan to share it with my co-workers after the new year. It's like a lot of things (politics, history, the environment, etc.) right now- the more I know, the sicker I feel. It's well worth the $20 or whatever it cost.

10. I saw a doc on it not that long ago.
It showed footage in Canada and how the GMO crops had infertile seeds to force farmers to buy seed instead of using their own and the animals that were altered.

I looked up Monsanto products and found some horrifying stuff like crops that contained insecticides and how the crops ruined natural crops which was mentioned in this documentory.

These modified crops will in time destroy everything natural and yet no one seems to know or care.

Do you remember the title of the doc ? I could be interested in watching it.

You know it's hard to believe that normal,day-to-day ordinary, plain

humans(If we can call them that) can do things that not so long ago

were merely SF or Horror movies stuff.

Barf! MonInsaneto is on it's way to world's food supply

monopoly. And their food is worst than crap.:banghead:

13. No , I can't recall the title.
You might try a google on HBO doc's , I think it was HBO . But I remember the doc well . They ever went to countries like India and even there the GMO crops are destroying their natural plants and crops.

This might be it:
http://www.organicconsumers.org/monsanto/koons041505.cfm

They had a Pig with cow genes spliced and the pig was deformed and had cow hide and could not walk but the freak who did this seemed so proud of his horror.

I don't know what will be the end result with all of this horror. Nature is a finely balanced system but man has been screwing it up and will not stop until they destroy it all completely.

It's all for profit and recognition yet this subject is at the bottom of the list of priority.

Mankind has unleashed so many horrors that I fear it's past stopping and far out of control now. They call it progress but progress is a human term for buy now , pay later.

If as it does appear progress results in the end where the little good the progress may create short term results in long term permanant destruction then we need to change the term progress to something more alarming.

One would think "clean coal" would be alarming but it appears not.

26. When you see what these so called people do
It's as close to believing there really is truth to the saying "hell on earth".

On top of the horrors of Monsanto look what we've been exposed to all these years with chemicals and nuclear bomb testing and processed food. The list is endless yet so hidden that most people never think about it and it's not a subject you will ever see on the evening news owned by the corporations who bring this swill into our lives telling us it's progress and helps save time.

They will disinfect and radiate us right out of existence.

17. Great !

Monsanto poisoned the entire planet with PCBs,then they poisoned the milk we drink with their

BGH (Bovine Growth Hormone)which cause among other things the cows to secrete pus into hour fresh

milk.(Oh,BTW,BGH is Illegal in Canada but it was a close call.Google for bribes+Health Canada and

so on for more infos. And yes I learned that in the documentary, not the "free" press.)

Agent Orange and now their superb Roundup and the Frankenstein food...And the fucking list goes on

and on.Thanks Monsanto!

24. "3 and 1/2 years of High School French"
So some Americans have French lessons in High School ? I really didn't know that.Over here in

Quebec (French speaking province) we have something like 5-6 years of English but I

truly learned it years before those mandatory classes by watching American cartoons and sitcoms. :)

Yeah it's easy to forget a new language. In college I learned Spanish but that was almost 20 years

ago so...no comprende anymore.:)

25. I don't have to see a documentary on Monsanto.
There was (is) a Monsanto plant near where I grew up. One of my best friends grew up in a trailer park across the river from the plant. This plant was so toxic-smelling that I have always held my breath when I drove by it on the highway that ran in front of it. It still stinks. My friend played in the river they dumped into, played in the mud, at fish from there, swam. When she was 26 she was diagnosed with Crone's Disease. By the age of 35 she was, for all intents and purposes, disabled to the extent that she can't hold down a job because she misses too many days of work. She tried going to college after she was diagnosed, hoping to work in a library, but she never completed college because she missed too many days of school due to illness. Her mother died of cancer at an early age. They've found mutated frogs in the river mud, and fish with burns on them. Monsanto is evil, AFAIC.

27. "King Corn" is another good documentary
They don't mention Monsanto or ADM by name, but there's a lot on how GMO corn took over Iowa, and specifically how this shit is all over the food supply, from corn-fed livestock, to high fructose corn poison in damn near everything else.

For example, if you get a typical fast food meal, you got hamburger from a corn fed cow on a bun that probably has HFCS, with ketchup and whatever other condiments (more HFCS), french fries cooked in corn oil, and wash it down with a big cup of Coke (massive amounts of HFCS)
