Globe and Mail End of Year pics show anguish of Americans

losing their homes. There are three excellent pictures in this slideshow of the year's best. . .the Americans are the last three (there are 19).

All of them are heartbreaking testimonies to how the sub-mortgage disaster has devastated so many average, working Americans.

The other pics are excellent as well - some are of Canadians in the Olympics (I didn't know there was women's freestyle wrestling). . .

I love the globe too. They are the last paper in Canada with truly great photography.

2. I know...you have to click on the box in the left column on the

National page. . .I couldn't get a direct link addy for the pic slideshow...:-(.

I love their photography also - for years I subscribed to the Saturday edition just to read the stories all week - and I'm in Illinois. It's a wonderful paper.
