1. It was too much.....
It was so much bigger than the ball and the 2009 sign that it dwarfed them. Tacky.

6. Good One - Corp America Already Dropped The Ball....
Why do they drop the ball in NYC to bring in the New Year? When did that custom begin?

Wouldn't it be more positive to Raise The Ball?

Ball dropping has such a negative connotation.

5. I felt the same way
but I guess we should be happy some company could afford to pay for the ball drop this year, the US corps were too busy rewarding their CEOs and top managers and paying for conferences with our bail out monies.

Happy New Year & Good Luck President Obama, you will need it as will the rest of us.

7. Oh whew! I thought you were talking to a mirror
If you say "Toshiba" five times to a mirror on New Year's Eve, a laptop computer materializes and crashes on your foot.

8. Why can't we have some events as national and free?
God forbid we watch something on New Years without having to look at adverts.

12. What's an American company? Is it one that cares about Americans?
Does such a mythical company pay living wages and act responsibly regarding the environment and worker's rights?

If so, I'm sorry to break the news... but there really aren't any. If there are they are a dying breed.

American company

How about GM

They're at least a NORTH American company. Well sort of anyways
