right now they have guy on there comparing Hamas to Hitler...

Mr. Levy stated that Hitler was elected by the German people, but when the Germans were defeated by the Allies, then the new German President said that his people had been liberated from a tyrant.

His point was that you can elect someone who is bad for you as a People...can you think of another country which did that recently (2004)?

You can't let Israel's massacre off the hook by saying "they don't target civilians, but Hamas does". Israel is killing hundreds of civilians - to the point that saying "they don't target civilians" is a LIE. You bomb a university, you are targetting civilians. You bomb a densely populated area - you are tartgeting civilians.

They need to stop lying - among other things.

why can people not accept that the Israelis just want to live IN PEACE, and the only way to do that in these instances is to militarily defeat those who have sworn the destruction. For crying out loud, that is the Hamas creed. Not co-existence, not peace, not anything but death to the Zionist Entity.

And you know what...the Gazans had every chance to make a country, but all they did was use their resources to attack Israel. Well, guess what, you play that game with a powerful country, you get what you deserve. Maybe, they'll stop pledgeing to soak their hands in the blood of Jews and think about co-existing.

Israel, even after discontinuing the 35-year OCCUPATION of Gaza, still controls the airspace above Gaza, the access to Gaza from the sea, and the land borders around Gaza. The Palestinians in Gaza can't even eat without 'permission' from Israel. Unemployment in Gaza is running about 50% or more, largely due to the fact that the citizens of Gaza cannot engage in trade or even rely on power to factories that's not controlled by Israel. The Israelis insist that Gaza exert control over Hamas but the citizens of Gaza can't even construct a civil infrastructure (police, government, fire fighters, etc.) that's not destroyed by the IDF/IAF.

It's a massive political codependency where each 'side' blames the other for their bad behavior. (Classic codependency goes as follows: When the wife is asked why she nags, she says it's because the husband's always drunk. When the husband's asked why he drinks, he says it's because the wife is always nagging.)

"A land without people for a people without a land." The world has become too sophisticated for that kind of raggedy posturing to hold water. I'm not defending the political stance of either party in this conflict but the oft quoted rationales used to defend occupation, acquisition and the removal of an indigenous people have so many holes that they whistle when the wind blows. The world deserves some new excuses to continue with this charade.

Israel being one, the US another, Canada another, Great Britain another......it's all a matter of degree.
