2. Thanks. I know that the struggling of polar bears may seem insignificant
when Gazans are suffering so horribly but I think we handle more that one issue at a time.

4. I don't find it anywhere close to insignificant.What we humans are doing to animals is
in my view, much worse than what we do to each other.... It is our job, since we took over the planet, to care for all other species. There is nothing worsew than this. Thank-you for the OP! signed the petition and passed it on to my friends.

10. Lucky you! I have heard wonderful stories from friends who have had the
fortune to go to Churchill. I've only seen documentaries which is better than nothing! Ha!

To the OP: Sorry...didn't really mean to hijack your thread; just letting off some frustration. I would very much like to see Obama do something to save the polar bears. BTW, you'd probably get further along with him if you happen to mention that polar bears are all conservative christians.

22. I agree. The quality of human life and the planet are enhanced by
the variety of wildlife. To see species obliterated because of the things we humans do is unforgiveable. So it's with some selfishness that I back support of all species.

15. Online petitions: exactly as effective as presenting your demands to a framed picture of Obama.
It's a good cause, but online petitions are a waste of the few seconds you spend signing them. I mean, as far as time-wasting goes, it's certainly not a bad way to waste time, but it's best not to start believing that they do anything.
