Clinton running for the Senate? He's so busy trashing Caroline Kennedy now, I'm just wondering where his head was at with Hillary. Thanks for any flashes from the past.

1. I'm sure he was against it...
But then King's against anyone who's not slightly to the right of the Kaiser.

3. I realize that, just as he's not running against Kennedy now. But
being the big mouth that he is, did he voice an opinion then, as he's doing now?

7. Well, I couldn't find any quotes from back then, but...
the salient point seems to be that he's thinking about running against Kennedy, but never seemed to have much stomach for running against Clinton (Maybe he was hoping his boy Rudy would pick up the cudgel there). King hasn't run for statewide office since '84 when Abrams kicked his ass for AG and he hasn't really spent much time gassing about out of his district. Or nobody gave two shits what he was saying until now.

6. He was a major RudyG ally. And would have preferred Rudy run against Lowrey. nt
