my first impression is that it's an NBC move to pander to the incoming left.

My second impression is the "for life" stuff seems kind of hokey. I don't know, but didn't she only do what she usually does? If that's the case it seems like selective prosecution to finally call her out over the same old crap this time.

UPDATE: An NBC spokesperson tells Politico that Coulter was bumped for news coverage out of Washington and the Middle East, and would be welcomed back in the future. Perez Hilton will still be on the show.
