Bush is loading up the government with Republican operatives..
Edited on Wed Jan-07-09 12:57 PM by kentuck
Knowing the way he thinks and operates over the last eight years, he is not doing it in the interest of "good government". He is up to no good, as usual. The latest appointments of Mukasey, Abrams, and Chertoff are prime examples. Mukasey pulled the wool over the eyes of the Congress and became an accomplice of Bush in his coverups of the crimes committed when Gonzalez was Attorney General. Chertoff was one of the main culprits in the impeachment of Bill Clinton. He has always been deeply partisan and incompetent. Elliott Abrams goes all the way back to the Iran-Contra scandal. He was up to his eyeballs in the illegal acts committed by our government in Nicaragua and Honduras. These are the types of folks Bush is putting in the different Departments. Why?

Their intent will be to collect information, spy upon, and to sabotage the new Administration. They are not there to work for the people or our country. They are there for George W Bush, and later Jeb Bush, and the Republican establishment. If Barack permits this to stand, he will rue the day. Write it down.

1. To be fair
As far as Abrams, Chertoff, and Mukasey are concerned there isn't much they can do sitting on the US Holocaust Memorial Council, unless you take into consideration that all three are potential war criminals!

2. hoping obama can make their positions no longer needed in downsizing of government
just find bush appointees and in cost cutting, cut those positions, if necessary later come up with new title and new person

3. Many, many more are sending out resumes
Some of the things the Bush administration had "promised" it would do in these last weeks are not getting done, because they are far too busy shredding files and looking for jobs. Many who fear prosecution are also cutting deals that will implicate higher-ups in the Bush crime family.

OK, I heard the former from someone I know at the DoJ. The latter is just a wish of mine.

It's pretty much a given that anyone he appoints is incompetent and can be fired!
