Schuster was great on 1600 PA Ave today
he did a segment called "Mythbusters" (which he says he's going to do all the time) which took on Fox for the lie about how FDRs spending made the depression worse and how it is all lies.

Then the took on the WSJ editorial page for its lies about the recount in Minn.

Mmmmmm. could it be?

1. He oughta show that clip to that nauseating moran Pat Buchanan,
Well-known Holocaust denier, Racist, Nazi-apololgist-cum-Brit-hater, and revisionist historian extraordinaire.

Prick.

4. About that racism, Doc . . . .
Have you been watching his gleeful support of Roland Burris to be seated in the Senate?

I have no problem with his reasoning. That part makes sense.

But he is giddy with anticipation of the Dems putting up a buffoonish guy, who is afflicted with grandiosity, and who has lost his last five primaries.

Nothing fits in better with Ol' Pat's idea of non-whites than a Black guy who he hopes we'll all be making fun of for years.

Chances are that something will trip up Burris down the line, because with his inflated sense of self, he is bound to fall - along with everybody else who forgot their Proverbs.

I dread the fun Pat and Co. will have if that happens.

5. Well Harry Reid must have upset him today
by pointing out that Burris has two PhDs and two law degrees. Still all Rethugs are enthusiastic about Burris and that can't be great news.

6. Hope we don't find out they're honorary or something.
They'd have a field day with that.

8. Reid was saying Burris' kids have the PhDs and 2 law degrees
Burris has a law degree but not eh PhD. Burris was bragging about his kids. Which I find offensive in anyone but me. (Have I shown you pictures of my darling grandson? The one in the Obama shirt?)

7. I don't see Burris as "buffoonish" at all
I see him as a guy who "retired" before he wanted to, and who had an incredible job offer drop into his lap..

Had Reid, et al not gotten their panties in a wad, NONE of this would be making any ripples..

all he had to do was to say "Well, Blago surprised us.. he sent a very worthy public servant to serve out the rest of Obama's term".. welcome him, and he would be the junior senator from Illinois....little more than #99 in seniority..No drama no fuss, and in '10, he would be 73 and might not win THAT primary either, but he would have had the chance to live out his dream, do no harm, and give the slate of wannabees fro '10, plenty of time to get their gamefaces on..

11. Super response
but Reid opted for egg all over his face and humiliating Burris. Burris called his bluff though.

2. Schuster must have been checking out Olbermann and Maddow ratings
and decided this might be the way to go. I hope his ratings are higher than when Gregory had that time slot. If he's consistent I may tune into MSNBC for the show instead of waiting until 8 for Keith.

3. Dang, I missed it!
I've always kinda liked Schuster. He appears to be alert AND skeptical, my favorite things in a reporter.
I'll make it a point to tune in.
