Spring cleaning in the middle of winter
long story, anyhow one thing that I did was to take out a lot of "fat clothes."

As I packed these things to take them down to ... Good Will I thought to myself, yes, I have lost lots of weight

unfortunately they will find new owners.

I am going against the crowd in this respect... much healthier with a lot more energy... but I was saddened that these things will actually find new owners...

We are indeed in the midst of a health care crisis of a proportion that I don't think many of us understand

2. Unintended consequences, I know
or rather I hope

That said, the quality control is so lousy these days that I bought a bra in November, and that one fell apart today... and the conure (for once) didn't have a thing to do with it

3. Maybe
you'll want to put them on freecycle?

I have a friend who does stuff on his local freecycle, and it's quite wonderful.

Just a suggestion.

I agree with you that people don't understand how serious the health care crisis is. People are flooding ERs because the law prohibits them from being turned away. But they're not getting the follow-up care they might need.

And what of the people who don't even get to the ERs?

We're in such bad shape.

4. They are already gone to the local place
thanks for the suggestion, for next time

And one person started arguing with me about Canada and horror stories

So she tells me, well about five percent of their people fall through the cracks... smugly

Now the number is not that far off, but... I didn't argue that number

Ok, fine, at least 33% of our population is falling through the cracks to the tune of 48 million

She just sat there, coffee in hand, flapping lips.
