I swear... I'm going to take a shotgun blast at my PC speakers if I hear that "HELLOOOO... HELLOOOO" for the animated smileys just one more time.

2. Yeah, this site is going crazy with ads.

Lots and lots of ads...when you open a thread, you get hung up waiting for an ad to load and then you go directly to that ad. I have never seen so many ads. I know that if I donate, I won't see them. And I plan to donate just as soon as the marginalization of those who want to speak re: Israel/Palestin (which, by the way, is a huge world-wide story and worthy of local comment and discussion) is stopped.

Get one of the DU photography contest calendars Skinner has pinned to the top of the thread stack. Looks pretty awesome, and buying DU merchandise gets you the all-powerful fuck-off-ad-bots little yellow star. :)

If donating can't happen, which is entirely probable due to these sunny economic seas we're sailing through, I suggest several swift blows to the head as an alternative. Kinda the same sensation those ads cause, but at least the ads go away once you lose consciousness. :)
