Which Current Or Former Air America Host(s) Should Run For Office Next?
Edited on Thu Jan-08-09 06:21 PM by ihavenobias
I figure someone had to ask this in light of ! I would say and , but they're both too right on the issues (as in correct), honest and insightful. Plus I'd hate to lose Rachel from the MSM where she is sorely needed.

You probably expected me to say Cenk, but his fiery rants-- & -- (and ) wouldn't go over well.

So who do you think should run (and yes, "none of them" is an acceptable response)?

ON EDIT: Also, you may to include whether or not you think your suggestion actually *would* get elected. Sadly, often times the answer is probably no.

1. Mike Malloy
We need a mouthy guy like him to go after Saxby Chambliss. He'd send Chambliss running for cover.

I like him too. I wonder how his name recognition/pedigree would cut since he'd run as an Independent or Dem?

19. Oh yes...
I have this fantasy of his getting the Republican nomination for president on the basis of his name; and then the party getting a big shock when it's too late to change their candidate!

6. Marc Maron
There is not enough nicotine gum in the world to keep him from telling some of those southern senators, for starters, what pompous ass's they are.

Sadly, I don't think he would have snowballs chance in actually getting elected, but a progressive can dream..

7. There's only one possible answer to this question: LIONEL
He would undoubtedly get his ass kicked and be cast into the political dustbin but -- most importantly -- it would get his annoying, whiney, misogynistic, faux-liberal voice off my radio.

8. I have to think about that for a while.
But, I do think we need more people that are not afraid to speak their mind.

11. The Australian journalist on Rachel's show last night made a joke to this effect
b/c some news anchor just got elected in Australia and is enjoying great successes....he joked that Rachel should give it a shot.

Given the look of utter disgust on her face, me thinks we aren't going to Senator Maddow in the near (or far, for that matter) future.
