I'd shell out for Bollinger, even if I still balked at Krug. I still have enough cash to celebrate in style and I would. After all, it's going to be about all we're going to have to celebrate until some time in 2010, at the earliest.

Alas, I can't drink, so going out the front door and yelling "NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA NA, HEY HEY HEY, GO-OD BYE!" is going to have to be good enough.

6. I'm going to an "End of an Error" luncheon that day.

A friend & I have talked about it since the election. She told a few friends, I told a few friends. We now have a party of almost 30! My friend made the reservations this week. The man on the phone cracked up when he heard what we were celebrating & told her that we could expect a special treat.

While I'm certainly one of DU's top Francophiles and have extensive experience with French wines, I'd probably opt for a California wine - preferably a Merlot or a late harvest Zinfandel. If I could find Bully Hill (a New York state wine) in a local wine shop, that'd do it.
