Curious George W.
The president is going to speak to the nation at 1:45 pm est. He is going to react to the House vote. In sports competition, we learn early that one should never "react" immediately to the opposition; rather, you take your time and then "respond." I've noted that this fellow Bush is beginning to react, angrily at that, to members of the Congress who are representing the will of the people.

Are others tuning in to see Curious George?

16. Yep.
Those who think Bush has any ability to communicate know that he needs to be "packaged." He is not an able speaker when it is not well prepared. I think that this shows the White House is feeling the pressure.

12. There's a paragraph
in Senator Obama's 2nd book (page 45) where he talks about Bush doing a presentation that was "mostly a reiteration of his campaign talking points," and then "suddenly it felt as if somebody in a back room had flipped a switch" -- and Bush went into his hostile mode. Bush's "eyes became fixed; his voice took on the agitated, rapid tone of someone neither accustomed to nor welcoming interruption; his easy affability was replaced by an almost messianic certainty."

Well, Mr. Bush, the new Congress is going to interrupt your fantasy.

He doesn't have anything to do battle with. He shot his wad a long time ago. He's just throwing up whatever feeble roadblocks he can come up with as a stall maneuver to keep him and his co-conspirators out of prison for as long as possible.

49. I know that the
people behind him have always used the tactic of not allowing others to enjoy having news coverage without the White House trying to run interference. Their problem is an inability to adjust -- the tactic that worked when Bush had high poll numbers, and the republicans ruled congress, are not going to work when his poll numbers are in the ditch and the democrats have regained power in congress.
