Poll question: What symbol will Gary Trudeau (Doonesbury) use for President Obama?
It's probably too early to really get a good guess, but it's never to early to start mind reading. I've come up with a bunch of potential symbols from the past year's arguments over Obama; feel free to suggest your own.

4. Agreed
I immediately thought of ears, to symbolize listening to the people for a change.

Maybe in a week or so. I don't want to put Mr. Trudeau under too much pressure to choose!

Kudos to ThomWV, too.

12. I think that's the best suggestion in this thread. Trudeau uses inanimate objects ...
... so it won't be ears or a Cheshire cat's grin or any other body part. "In for a penny in for a pound." "Change." A brown penny.

A bridge would be too large. A basketball isn't emblematic enough. I don't think it'd be shoes on a desk with a hole in the sole. A Denver-minted Lincoln penny would be very apt.

5. A big set of floating ears with clouds in between, sometimes storm clouds, sometimes fluffy clouds.
Sometimes the clouds will be fluffy and have bright rays of sunshine passing through them, sometimes they will be dark and have lightening bolts coming from them, sometime they might even turn into tornadoes or hurricanes.

11. Trudeau has already depicted him
as a pair of casually-crossed legs, so it's possible that the cartoonist will continue in that vein - a conveyance from our President that 'I've got this.'

15. Big ears with a halo sitting on them...
is how I woud draw him if I were a cartoonist. Not to mock him but to portray him in such a way that everyone would know immediately who I was trying to draw...
