i guess i missed that explosion...:shrug:

and actually, in the original ape movie- charlton heston is mad at the humans for having blown it all to hell.
and in the second movie- it's the remaining humans who worship the bomb, and blow it all up again.

the chimps are the ones who escape the carnage, and head off into the past to create a time-travel paradox.

Of course Bush didn't literally cause a nuclear explosion. But he damaged the Constitution, our standing in the world, our economy, our military, etc., to such a degree that one could metaphorically say he went nuclear on us.

What if the artist had a cartoon of Bush going postal. Would you think he was trying to say Bush went into a post office and killed all the workers?

Think figuratively.
