Robert Byrd had initially a medical issue, then shortly after Ted Kennedy had a seizure. Had seizure even whilst being put in wheelchair or stretcher. Senator Kerry's wife helped with Teddy. Teddy was with Walter Mondale too. They lowered the lights, the President was at his side I guess to be helpful, there was silence.

No knew throughout a majority of the room what was going on.

Kennedy was in the ambulance. Senator Orrin Hatch (a close friend) says he was in pain. :-( As he got into the ambulance, Hatch was there at his side. Senator Dodd and Kerry were there too. He was conscious whilst being placed in the ambulance.

Senator Byrd is fine according to the Capitol Police.

7. Not sure if it was Byrd or not.
NBC said that they thought it was Byrd, because he'd left the room. Maybe it's something not so serious for Byrd, maybe he just doesn't feel good and needed to rest for a bit.
