Has Norm begun to bow to the inevitable?
http://www.njdc.org/blog/post/WelcomeColeman012309

He seems to have a new job!

Ira N. Forman, Executive Director of the National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC), released the following statement:

The National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) welcomes former Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN) to the fray as a consultant and strategic advisor to the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC). We look forward to engaging with Coleman in our ongoing dialogue over issues and ideas in the American Jewish community. By agreeing to serve in this position Coleman appears to have accepted the inevitable designation of Al Franken as the United States Senator from Minnesota.

1. Normie's doing it for sympathy. I caught a brief clip of him on thelocal
new saying "he has to do something to put food on the table". Doesn't he get a pension as a former senator?

And, of course, his law suits allow him to continue to help the Republicans by doing what he can to be an obstructionist.

7. Norman has become a "consultant and strategic advisor to the Republican Jewish Coalition".
But he's just doing it because times are hard and he has to pay the bills. (

5. Oh, that's so sad. Should we have a food drive for Norm?
Laurie had to give up her acting "career" for questionable "consulting".
And now Norman has to accept a position just to put food on the table!

I think we have a can of creamed corn we could donate.

6. On Minnesota Public Radio he said that it was a temp gig
as he needed to put food on his family (pay for kitchen remodels, the usual), but that both the org and he knew it was temp so he could "go back to DC when the election was resolved."

Translation, he is an idiot.
