A mildly depressing observation.
Make a list... no, better yet, make two lists: one of "the policies I think it is most urgent for Obama to pursue" and another of "the policies I think Obama will pursue most urgently". Those lists may be identical, or they may differ wildly, but that's not the point of the exercise.

.

Done that?

Now, how many of the items on each of your lists are "reverse $bad thing$ that George W. Bush did or allowed to happen", and how many are things that are actually moving America ahead of where it was eight years ago?

I suspect that for most people both lists will be heavily biased towards the former (except possibly on gay marriage).

Sometimes you have to run fast just to stand still.

1. It is a very deep hole they dug us into.
I agree it is depressing, but at least we have mostly stopped digging.
