1. On TDS, I howled when he talked about the only thing non-controversial they could discuss was
the rug on the floor of the Oval Office. I've always liked our old homeboy Jimmy. He's still sharp as a damn tack at age 74.5!

3. Isn't he more like 85? Makes the tack even sharper!
I loved the show on PBS about him and his work with Habitat for Humanity. An amazing human being!

2. Thanks for the heads up. Yes, he was great on TDS, and I love the fact...
that Jon gave him and Rosalynn bikes to replace the ones stolen in China. (Think I recall that right!)

President Carter Fan!

5. I'm sad Jimmy Carter's presidency didn't and doesn't get the credit it deserves.
I've not lived through his presidency, heck, I haven't even lived in the US, but judging from all that I've read about the presidents since FDR, Carter seems by far the best to me. It's really sad to see Ronny Rayguns is still so much more popular than Carter.

6. President Carter said what Americans did not want to hear. The
Ray-gun had two recessions, but he gave tax cuts to the extremely overpaid Jackals of Journalism. So the JOJ sing his praises.
