Can Someone, Anyone Explain To Chris Matthews That Bush Cut Taxes On The Wealthy Three Times....
during his presidency, and instead of record job growth, we're on the brink of a second Great Depression?

Can someone, anyone explain to him that ALL of the economic growth, what little there was,under the Bush administration was due to easy access to credit and the gigantic housing bubble?

Can someone, anyone please explain to him that giving the John Thains of the world another tax cut IS NOT going to create jobs. Instead, it will go to a $1,400 trash can?

Why can't people in the media do some research before they ask anyone questions?

Giving the wealthy more money by lowering their taxes does three primary things:

1. Concentrates wealth into fewer and fewer hands
2. Starves the public good of needed investements, like education and healthcare, which help shape our future
3. Cripples innovation and new business because everyone is busy serving the elite

2. The president needs to point out that;
As he is asking all parties for ideas, all the republicans can offer is more of the same failed policies of the Bush administration.....the truth hurts!

I read about Tim Russert taking hours and hours of research before he did a Meet the Press show before he died. I think Chris should have learned from him. I know some people have ill thoughts of Tim but I for one think he did try to do his job better then most! And if we look at the salaries these "news" people get - come on! They should be doing better then they are by far! One person who I think tries to do that is of course, Bill Moyers and for some degree David Shuster.

5. i honestly believe that there are certain things any media type will simply
refuse to talk about in any depth,or will refuse to see the obvious (Matthews) because it may come back to them, meaning, no talking head will discuss eliminating tax cuts for the rich, because they are rich, and they don't really want the tax cuts to go away. The growing gap between rich and poor or ridiculous executive compensation is off limits as well, because our media heads are themselves compensated ridiculously.

I mean really, how can a job like that be worth millions?

I keep wondering when this economy will hit the overpaid media personalities, athletics (a losing pitcher making 8 million a year? Come on...),or our overpaid actors, who get bejillions even if their project tanks.

I guess when companies can't afford to buy commercials, or when people can't afford the price of a movie ticket or ticket to a game.
