Rachel, Popcorn and Blago- Oh my!

This might be fun with her 'EXCLUSIVE RACHEL INTERVIEW'

Sounds like she thinks she got him to admit he broke the law.

18. What did he use as an example - Obama paying 10 million for Clinton to drop out?
Or did he say Obama raised 10 million in order to defeat her?

It seems he was implying something and I was one who dropped out of the fighting during the campaign - I know nothing about 10 million.

Anyone hear this?

"Hillary Clinton agrees to promote Obama for president for 10 million dollars
Front page / World / Americas
26.06.2008 "
snip

"Democrat Barack Obama on Tuesday asked his finance team to help Hillary Rodham Clinton pay off a debt of at least $10 million from her failed presidential campaign, setting the stage for joint appearances by the two former rivals later in the week. "

48. Not on the first page - I was surprised. I'll go back and have another look.
I did post a youtube clip - I would assume it came from one of the U.S. corporate networks.

Here's Jake Tapper on an ABC blog:

Very short snippet:

Obama Asks Top Moneyfolks to Help Clinton Retire Her Debt
June 24, 2008 7:34 PM

"ABC News has learned that on a conference call with his national finance team this afternoon, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, asked his top contributors to help Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, retire her more than $10 million in outstanding vendor debt. He did not specify an amount.

Clinton's debt has been a major point of contention as the two former rivals attempt to reconcile.

Clinton will appear at an Obama fundraiser Thursday night in Washington, D.C., and the two will campaign together in Unity, NH, on Friday."

giving preferences to blogs - that' what I saw. Perhaps the WP NYT etc are at the end.

P.S. Some of the matches related to previous fundraising actions - which also included the number 10.

More: Maybe it wasn't a big deal except between people who leaned Clinton or Obama and were already sparring.

But, I think Blago was insinuating something - I'm going to listen to the replay, though it isn't pleasant to listen to someone wiggling like he is. He's a fighter for himself, that's for sure.

27. He strikes me
as a person who likes to be at "the edge." He approaches the edge in interviews on tv. I assume he attempted to rule from the edge as governor. The federal prosecutor says he crossed the edge, and engaged in criminal behaviors. He is intent upon convincing people that he never crossed the edge. Very strange guy, in a tough situation.

55. He was attempting
to establish a level of "familiarity" between the two of them. There are two ways to view this. First, he could simply like her show, and have spent time learning more about her. Or, second, he might be a sociopath, who had looked up a bit of information about her, and was trying to connect with her to make her more sympathetic to him.

So he is an insider to the real deal or is he twisting it to imply that everyone buys and sells when 'negotiating', so he is not guilty?
