My rallying cry to members of my group during the presidential campaign re: stimulus/repubs/media

We need this stimulus bill to pass. The Republicans are being obstructionists. The media, with few exceptions, is continually proffering falsehoods with regard to what Obama's goals are concerning the stimulus. As we know, especially here in Michigan, an economic plain that focuses on tax cuts alone, doesn't work. There is NO trickle down. The rich will not create more jobs with tax cuts. The evidence is overwhelming when you examine the state of the economy during the Reagan and both Bush administrations. We need to get people to work and put money in the pockets of those who will spend it! Attached is a link to the actual bill, HR 1. I encourage you to send it to your friends, both democrat and republican. Information is power. You can't have intelligent dialog unless and until you are armed with all of the facts, not just what is regurgitated over and over on CNN/Fox, et al. As we know, based upon history, their goal is ratings, not necessarily fact based reporting. I have also attached a link to a website with all the email addresses of members of Congress and the Senate. I think that the republicans need to be reminded that one of the major reasons why they lost the election and the majority in congress is due to their lack of stewardship with regard to the economy of the US and their inability to work in a bipartisan manner. Michigan has suffered more than most and we need to make sure this state gets the boost it needs to prevent more dire events from occurring.

As some of us discussed at our recent McRest fundraiser, we want to continue to assist the President in enacting the change we voted for. Lets get motivated!
