Freeper-types, thier racism and hysteria

Don't you just want to say to these LOSERS, "Get the fuck out if you are so convinced Obama is a Nazi or Nazi-like!"

:grr:

1. No, I just like asking them questions
Such as "What's wrong with socialism?"

They'll get a nosebleed before they can formulate a coherent answer

2. Hitler "made the trains run on time"?
Oh, that's so sad.

Thank you for this.

3. Interesting way to phrase one's support of the Holocaust...
It would be cute if it weren't so fucking horrific.

13. Actually, it was the ghastly MUSSOLINI who made the trains run on time.
No small feat in Italy, land of "lo sciopero" (strike/temporary work stoppage). Trains frequently run on schedules that are unrelated to the printed ones the railways hand out to hapless customers...and it has always been thus.

But then, Hitler was said to have loved dogs. AND he was a vegetarian.

Still doesn't mean they weren't assholes.

19. Exactly........
That's why I found the line so entertaining. I once wrote a line in a book about how Hitler had been very good to his canary, because I had read it somewhere. It would seem that he did, in fact, have a heart, at least where small yellow birds were concerned.

Clearly, freepers aren't all that hip with regard to twentieth century history.

And some DUers are apparently just as clueless, which is kind of discouraging..................

4. Without Hitler and Nazism, there'd be little political hyperbole in this country. . .
on either side of the aisle.

9. Like your name. You must be a liberal.
Edited on Wed Jan-28-09 01:16 AM by Old and In the Way

Pronunciation:
\ˈli-b(ə-)rəl\
Function:
adjective
Etymology:
Middle English, from Anglo-French, from Latin liberalis suitable for a freeman, generous, from liber free; perhaps akin to Old English lēodan to grow, Greek eleutheros free
Date:
14th century

1 a: of, relating to, or based on the liberal arts <liberal education> barchaic : of or befitting a man of free birth2 a: marked by generosity : openhanded <a liberal giver> b: given or provided in a generous and openhanded way <a liberal meal> c: ample , full3obsolete : not literal or strict : loose <a liberal translation>5: broad-minded ; especially : not bound by authoritarianism, orthodoxy, or traditional forms6 a: of, favoring, or based upon the principles of liberalism bcapitalized : of or constituting a political party advocating or associated with the principles of political liberalism ; especially : of or constituting a political party in the United Kingdom associated with ideals of individual especially economic freedom, greater individual participation in government, and constitutional, political, and administrative reforms designed to secure these objectives

Kind of puts the word into perspective, no? If we are the antithesis of conservatives, then I guess a conservative must be imprisoned/enslaved to authoritarian principles. Cheap and mean-spirited, too. Because you are a liberal ( free man), Rush despises you! :fistbump:

The way I see it, is that it is easy to protect the speech that you like, it is not that easy to protect the speech that you don't like.

12. Agreed. It's our free speech that's negating the hundreds of millions of $
spent by hate radio to get people to vote against their best interests. The stolen election of 2000 was the last straw for many Americans. The days of Republicans dominating free speech are over.

16. That also doesn't mean that there are no limitations on free speech.
The whole, can't yell fire in a crowded theater when no immanent danger exists, thing.

I just get such a kick out of some expressions that one finds online--and that one is classic "internet-speak!" The fact that it's usually accompanied by no small degree of high dudgeon makes it even more delicious!
