1. Why is it so hard...
for people just to ignore this moron? You're doing exactly what he wants - he gets free publicity and gets to whine about the evil liberals trampling on his free speech rights.

2. bingo, i prefer to just turn the radio over
I am very reticent to start boycotts, censorship etc. Do you realy want the US to be like the rest of the world were the media just does what its told. I prefer the good and the bad rather than the pre approved.

3. And His Listenership Is Not That Large
I know we hear about 20 million all the time. But those are Arbitron weekly cumulative values. That means the actual number is more like 3.5 million.

And, since Arbitron uses a passive listener factor (you work for a guy who listens, so you listen too, even though it isn't your choice, or a customer walks into a body shop that has it on, and all the workers and customers are listeners, even though not actively), then the number is actually mathematically inflated.

In fact, there are only about 3.4 million people who listen to this troglodyte and we should merely be ignoring them and their "leader".

6. Thank you.
All this is doing is giving Limbaugh more publicity and more importance than he deserves.

4. I'm not sure it isn't better to leave him on the air.
His anti-American sentiments may be warm mother's milk to his adoring if cretinous listeners, but the majority here and around the world are disgusted by his attitude. Our best bet is to tie him to the Republican Party so tightly that they are perceived as one and the same. After all, he seems to be their "leader" now.

7. Rush has a good track record - for us
Under the leadership of Rush Limbaugh the Republicans lost in 2006.

Under the continued leadership of Rush Limbaugh, Democrats now hold the House, the Senate, and the Executive Branch.

Keep it up Rush! Next we will see the Republicans coming in third behind the Social Democratic Party.

11. I actually like the way the tide is turning against Rush right now
Edited on Wed Jan-28-09 02:16 PM by Fleshdancer
Pulling him off the air would just give him the martyr complex he's craving to have.

I would rather keep him on the air and continue to spotlight every asshole remark he makes (ie: hoping President Obama fails). This forces republicans to speak out against him which forces Rush to then say nasty things about them. Let the republican party realize it's time for them to take out their own trash for a change. Democrats are too busy fixing everything to be bothered.
