Poverty in the South

In the 1960s the South has the highest rate of poverty. Does the South still have the highest rate of poverty?

1. I would say yes

Even for the folks who do have a job the average wage is around $8 with no benefits. There's even a few small towns around my state where police officers make less than $10 an hour.
