A question for gay DUers about Andrea Mitchell.

IMHO, Mitchell is classy and one of the best reporters around, but a gay icon? What do you think?

Each week, one of us is lucky to have the opportunity to call up big New York City magazine and newspaper editors and shoot the breeze. Remnick! Graydon! Keller! What a job! But whenever he brags to friends about it, it never really goes over well. They either don’t know or don’t care.

This all changed a few weeks ago when the reporter spoke to Andrea Mitchell, the NBC News veteran. After casually telling one of our mutual friends, James, that there was an interview with Andrea Mitchell, he lost it.

On Gchat: “5:31 PM James: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

or something else? I always get distracted by her hair when she's on because I want to just cut off those two flippy things in the back that look like they don't belong in the same hairstyle. Blend it in. But it's her signature, I guess. Still it drives me up a tree...

I'm gay because I like hot guys, not big haired news models to worship.
